Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an British and American sitar player. She also performs music. She received the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and first female recipient. Alongside nine Grammy nominations, she was also the first musician of Indian origin to perform in the live ceremony. Anoushka shankar is one of India's most promising stars on the sitar. She is the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. She was born London in 1982. In during her early years, she swam between London New Delhi. Her debut performance was on stage in New Delhi when she was thirteen years old. After that, she relocated in Encinitas CA, where she earned the High School diploma with honors in 1999.
